It is holiday season. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have come down to have some fun time over the next couple of weeks. Being almost 2 years since we last met in person, we have so many things to catch up on and talk about. Invariably, the financial markets are always a topic that we touch upon. In the midst of conversation, my brother-in-law asks if I have watched the documentary - The Inside Job. "Of-course", was my response, "multiple times and a long time ago". "Seriously!?", he said, "I watched it a few days ago for the first time, and if it was not for Netflix, I would not have known of it".
There is so much to learn and there are so many great movies/documentaries out there that compress information in an entertaining way. I thought of making a list of some that I have watched and learned quite a lot from. They might serve as a quick crash course on things that you might not have known of or experienced first hand.
The Inside Job
The Wolf of Wall Street
Margin Call
The Big Short
Too Big To Fail
Enron
Rogue Trader
Trillion Dollar Bet
Some that are in my list to watch are:
Boiler Room
Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story
If you have watched a financial market related movie/documentary that is not in the list above and believe that it is worth watching, please leave the name in the comment section below.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2021!
